Here at Collective Purchasing, we work with a number of brilliant suppliers. We believe that having a strong relationship with these suppliers, as well as our members, is really important. We also really love tea/coffee catch ups. Some of the Collective team road tripped to Gloucester to hang out with our reps at Creed Foodservice and had the chance to explore their warehouses and grounds. Check out our photos to see for yourself what we got up to!
We Love Milk! We Also Love Our CP Dairy Cow:
Chris Lewis, Creed’s very own fruit and veg buyer, showed us around the chilled warehouse, explaining to us how they look after the stock and other important facts!
Next up is the ambient store. We had to beware of the forklifts! Stan Earnshaw, warehouse manager, gave us a witty tour, where we decided to test him on where his most obscure product is!
Walking into freezing temperatures, we witnessed the -18 degrees environment where the frozen stock is kept. The staff working in there are only allowed to be in the freezer for 5-10 minutes. We felt like ice cubes, our glasses steamed up and we take out hats off to those who go in there on a daily basis.
Next up, the Butchery Warehouse. We Were Suited and Booted with These Overalls, Shoe Covers and Hair Nets in Order to Explore Behind the Scenes.
Adam, Our Lovely Creed Foodservice Rep!
The Lovely Creed Foodservice Butcher,Gary Hannis, Gave Us a Tour of the Meat Warehouse. Learning About Behind the Scenes Was Really Interesting – We Even Stood in a Freezer That Was Rather Chilly – Should Have Taken Our Hats and Gloves with Us.
We Asked Lots of Questions, so We Are Informed 100% on What Our Customers Are Buying.
We Even Got to See How Sausages Are Made, Which Was Really Interesting!
